Assistant, Finance & Operations
Cindy Garcia serves on the finance and operations team at the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD). As Cindy puts it: “My inner drive is to provide precise data and reporting in order to comply with our guiding principles and help carry out the mission of NCLD.” Cindy’s hard work is manifested through her consistently successful execution of all accounting affairs.Over the past few years, Cindy has volunteered at a variety of non-profit organizations, where she has performed bookkeeping and administrative and outreach functions for the organizations.
Prior to Joining NCLD, Cindy served as a financial coordinator at Lehman College and as a bookkeeper at Teachers College Press, Columbia University. She is honored to be a part of NCLD and a member of a team devoted to ensuring the success of all individuals with learning disabilities.
Cindy earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration at Lehman College and hopes to acquire a master’s degree in accounting in order to become a CPA. “My goal is to go forward and prosper,” Cindy says.
