Denise De Marco
Individual Giving Officer, Development
Denise De Marco is the Individual Giving Officer for NCLD’s Development team. She plans and executes a variety of fundraising strategies such as online giving, direct mail solicitation, securing major gifts, and engaging supporters with NCLD’s work. She is particularly excited about spreading awareness and connecting people with the LD resources and tools they need to help change children’s lives.
Prior to joining the NCLD team, Denise was the development manager at the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA), a non-governmental organization started in 1948 by Eleanor Roosevelt that encourages and strengthens US-UN relationships. In her role at UNA-USA, Denise planned fundraising and programmatic events, secured major gifts and mobilized national and international support for the United Nations.
Denise earned her B.S. from SUNY Empire State College in Journalism and Cultural Affairs. She is an avid photojournalist and has worked on freelance assignments for the United Nations, the FDNY and Daytop Rehabilitation Center.
