5 Ways School Accountability Supports Student Success

As Congress is rewriting the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), also known as No Child Left Behind, we must ensure that the law would hold schools responsible for the achievement of all students. This means that schools should be required to provide evidence-based interventions and support when students—including those with disabilities—aren’t making progress.

Parents across the country agree with us. In fact, in an NCLD survey last month, 97 percent of parents and educators said schools must take responsibility for the achievement of kids with learning and attention issues.
