Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) to hold first annual conference
The first annual conference of the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) will be held on March 2nd – 4th, 2008 in Crystal City, Virginia. Progressing beyond the invited papers format, this conference will offer symposia; paper sessions; poster sessions and training opportunities.

The National Center for Culturally Responsive Educational Systems School designs Self-Assessment Guide for Culturally Responsive Practice
NCCRESt has designed a self-assessment instrument to assist elementary school practitioners (all professionals and paraprofessionals working in the schools, such as special and general education teachers, counselors and administrators) in creating schools that are culturally responsive in their programming and instruction so that optimal achievement might occur for all students including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

RecognitionandResponse.org is a comprehensive online resource that provides educators with information about this cutting edge approach to early education.

The site offers information and resources to help early educators address the needs of young children (3 to 5 year-olds) who show signs that they may not be learning in an expected manner, even before they begin kindergarten.
