 NCLD's Washington, D.C. office works with policymakers and their staff and with other national organizations to ensure that the specific needs of people with learning disabilities (LD) are fully considered in the development of national policies.
Through its public policy program, NCLD advocates for policies to protect and strengthen educational rights and opportunities and promotes federal policies.
NCLD has developed Public Policy Briefs that provide updates on critical issues in the field of learning disabilities and special education.
