On September 28, 2012, in partnership with other leading disability organizations, the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) is hosting the National Forum on Disability Issues (NFDI) in Columbus, Ohio. As a lead co-sponsor of this historic nonpartisan event, we are pleased to share the exciting news that President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney have been invited to discuss together, and live via webcast, their position on national issues impacting people with learning disabilities including education, health care, and employment. Candidates for the U.S. Senate seat in Ohio have also been invited to participate.
The forum is only three weeks away! Join us in-person or via webcast, so please register today! Both the live event and webcast will take place from 12:30pm-3:30pm.
We also need your help to continue to grow the energy that will bring President Obama, Mitt Romney, Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), and Treasurer Josh Mandel (R-OH) to the Forum. Go to the NFDI website to:
Lastly, don’t forget to write a letter, compose a tweet, or make your own short video and send it to the candidates. Tell them why you want them to attend the Forum and what disability issues matter to you. Sharing your voice will increase the likelihood that the candidates will attend! The NCLD team looks forward to participating with you at the Forum in person or live via webcast on September 28!
