“Pin it to win it!” That’s been our catch phrase around the NCLD office lately as our team gets more and more energized by our growing
Pinterest community. Before we gush about some of our new Pinterest boards, though, we should address questions you might have—including “What the heck is Pinterest?” and “Why does it matter to me?” For answers to those queries, and more, check out Texas mom Lyn Pollard’s LD.org blog post, “
Out-of-the-Box Advocacy: Talk LD on Pinterest.”
And now for some of our new boards:
- One of our most popular new Pinterest boards is our board on LD-friendly apps. We've tested apps that could support individuals with different types of learning disabilities. Nearly 1,000 people are already following it. Join them!
- Are you an adult or teen with a learning disability, or do you know someone who is? If so, you should visit our board specifically for adults with LD, where you'll find gems like resume-writing basics and tips for workplace success.
- The newest board of them all is our board on controversial LD therapies. Don't be fooled by snake-oil ads promoting the ultimate LD cure-all, and learn what questions you should ask yourself about advertised LD therapies with our popular under-the-sea infographic.
