Chairman

Frederic M. Poses is Chief Executive Officer and Partner of Ascend Performance Materials, a private manufacturer of nylon related chemicals, resins and fibers for commercial and industrial products, since June 2009. He is also owner of 32 Laight Street Partners, a private equity company.

Prior to serving at Ascend Performance Materials, he was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Trane Inc. (previously American Standard Companies), formerly a global manufacturer and provider of air conditioning systems and services, bathroom and kitchen fixtures and fittings, and vehicle control systems, where he served until June 2008. Mr. Poses began his tenure at American Standard in 1999.

From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Poses was President and Chief Operating Officer at AlliedSignal, where he served in various capacities over his career, beginning in 1969.

Before joining AlliedSignal, Mr. Poses spent two years in Peru with the Peace Corps. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from New York University.

Mr. Poses serves as lead independent director of TE Connectivity Board of Directors and he is a Director of Chesapeake Energy. He serves as Chairman of the Board of the National Center for Learning Disabilities and is a trustee of the 92nd Street Y, Central Synagogue and the Poses Family Foundation.
