Christine Baeta

Christine Baeta is the Chief Academic Officer in the Sacramento City Unified School District, where she previously served as an Instructional Assistant Superintendent. She served for 20 years in the Elk Grove Unified School District. She started her career as a first grade teacher in a Title I school, and later led as a principal and vice principal.

Christine is the mother of four children. Her service to children began when her oldest child was born with cerebral palsy. In learning to navigate education for a child with special needs, Christine has dedicated her career to advocating for students and their families.
