Nicola Frost

Regional Manager, Understood

Nicola Frost is the western regional field manager for Understood. Based out of the Denver, CO field office, she leads several programs creating parent groups and collaborations with government and non-government agencies focusing on supporting the learning and attention issues community. Part of Nicola’s work with Understood and NCLD includes work with Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) educating and directing communication efforts with parents and other NGOs.


Before joining Understood, Nicola worked as a communication specialist for the White House during the Clinton/Gore administration. With a passion to help others Nicola continued her work as a consultant for the American Cancer Society, Share our Strength, CO Rescue Mission, Urban Peak Denver and the National Park Service. Prior to her consulting business Nicola was a national Emmy award-winning producer for the Food Network and other cable outlets.


Nicola holds a Masters degree from George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs.
