Vanessa Bertone

Parent Support Coordinator

Vanessa Bertone is the parent support coordinator for the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD). She manages Understood’s and NCLD’s Help Center by responding to user questions and concerns ranging from personal to technical issues. She’s also moderates comments on  Understood’s Facebook page, YouTube channel and on-site community.

Prior to joining NCLD, Vanessa was digital production coordinator for Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street. There she managed Sesame Street’s brand content on multiple sources including YouTube and The Orchard. She also developed and implemented standards for online communications through ‘Contact Us’ and customer support for Sesame Go.

Vanessa holds a B.A. in Communications from Saint Francis College and has a passion for public speaking. During her spare time she enjoys running and frequent family trips to Disney World.
