Matthew Wicks

Matthew Wicks is currently Vice President Data Analysis and Policy for Connections Education. He has been involved with K-12 online learning for 15 years.

Matt was one of the co-founders of the Illinois Virtual High School and served as its Director for five years. In 2005, he founded Matthew Wicks & Associates, where he provided a wide range of online learning consulting services including policy research, program evaluation, webinar and conference support, and operational support for programs. After leaving independent consulting he served as the Chief Operating Officer for iNACOL – the International Association for K-12 Online Learning, an organization he helped create in 2003.

Prior to his work in online learning, Matt served as Chief Information Officer at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. He also has worked for Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and AT&T.

Matt has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northwestern University. He resides in the Chicago area.
