George Thurlow is a second-year law student at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, FL. He recently completed his degree in political science and public policy at New College of Florida in Sarasota, FL, with a focus on American politics and policy, particularly health care politics and policy and electoral politics. Outside the classroom, George is heavily involved in politics at the local and state level with various organizations. He’s had a long-standing interest in policy work and looks forward to working with NCLD. As someone diagnosed with LDs at a young age and who benefited from proactive accommodations and resources, George is especially eager to learn more about LD policy as well as to fight to make it better. In his spare time, George enjoys travel (he’s been to 48 states and about 25 countries) and anything related to dogs.
