Lindsay Kubatzky is the dedicated director of policy and advocacy at the National Center for Learning Disabilities. In this critical role, he leads the development of NCLD’s policy philosophy and agenda, focusing on issues that are essential to the success of students with learning and attention issues and their families. Lindsay leads the policy and advocacy team, using his expertise to generate, develop, and implement federal policy initiatives that protect the rights of individuals with disabilities and advance their opportunities.

Lindsay’s journey at NCLD began as a policy research associate, where he actively contributed to NCLD’s legislative strategy in Washington, DC. He was later promoted to policy manager and then director. His efforts played a crucial role in advancing government policies that support the success of individuals with learning and attention issues in various aspects of life, including school, work, and overall well-being.

Before joining NCLD, Lindsay served as the government affairs coordinator for the National PTA. During his time there, he actively supported the National PTA’s public policy agenda and grassroots advocacy efforts, championing the cause of public schools. Prior to that, he served as a legislative aide in the Texas Legislature, where he worked on a diverse range of issues, including education, economic development, government transparency, and unemployment.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Lindsay is actively engaged in the Higher Achievement after-school program, where he serves as a mentor to middle schoolers in the Washington, DC area. His commitment to mentorship further reflects his dedication to empowering and supporting young individuals.

Lindsay holds a bachelor of arts degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin, laying the foundation for his profound understanding of the political landscape. He further expanded his knowledge by earning an Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, enhancing his expertise in education policy and advocacy.

Lindsay’s work contributes significantly to the organization’s mission of creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for those with learning disabilities, positively impacting their lives and futures.
