Mackenzie Schondelmayer is a brand strategy specialist with a profound dedication to crafting and amplifying compelling brand narratives at the National Center for Learning Disabilities. In her role, her expertise is pivotal in shaping the organization’s external image and campaign initiatives, all while drawing from her strong background in design and communications.

Well versed in non-profit communications, Mackenzie brings her passion for youth development and education to NCLD’s important mission. Prior to joining the organization, she served as the marketing and communications manager for Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore, where she honed her skills in crafting effective messaging and campaigns to support the organization’s goals. Following that, she served as the communications coordinator for the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology, further enriching her understanding of the non-profit sector and communication strategies.

Mackenzie’s experiences in both positions have not only strengthened her design skills but have also deepened her commitment to the non-profit sector. Her enthusiasm for making a positive impact in the lives of young individuals aligns perfectly with NCLD’s mission.

Mackenzie earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts in integrated public relations from Central Michigan University, providing her with a solid foundation in strategic communication and public relations. Outside of work, she enjoys immersing herself in the natural beauty of her home state of Michigan, exploring trails, and appreciating the outdoors. Additionally, she has a penchant for searching through small antique stores, where she often uncovers unique trinkets and treasures.

Mackenzie’s passion, skills, and dedication make her an invaluable member of the NCLD team, contributing to the organization’s efforts to raise awareness and support individuals with learning disabilities and attention issues.
