Patricia Cook is a dynamic Executive Assistant to the CEO at the National Center for Learning Disabilities. With a passion for supporting and empowering others, Patti plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the NCLD team and its leaders.

Bringing a wealth of experience to her role, Patti previously served as an executive assistant in the executive office of the CEO at the Knights of Columbus, a fraternal nonprofit organization. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and expertise in executive function processes, she provided comprehensive support to company leaders, demonstrating exceptional leadership and teamwork skills. Patti’s commitment to advocating for students with learning disabilities stems from her 10 years as a teacher at Easton Country Day School, where she empowered students by helping them understand their strengths and weaknesses. She taught them invaluable strategies for success both inside and outside the classroom, created individualized curriculums, led project-based learning, and collaborated with administrators on IEP development. Patti’s dedication to supporting students continues as she tutors those with learning issues in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Patti holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Eastern Connecticut State University. Additionally, she has earned a learning certificate in executive function from the Research Institute for Learning and Development at Harvard University, further enhancing her expertise in supporting individuals with diverse learning needs.

Beyond her professional achievements, Patti is a voracious reader, particularly enjoying “happily ever after” novels. She has a keen eye for interior decorating and finds joy in watching Friends reruns. When she’s not immersed in her work or hobbies, Patti cherishes spending quality time with her family, exploring new destinations, relaxing at the beach, and indulging in funny movies. Her favorite role in life is that of a loving wife and mom.
